The Island of Curaçao

A tropical paradise cooled by the Northeast trade winds Curaçao boasts 38 beaches with pristine white sands. Its topography ranges from its windswept and rugged north shore to its sheltered and lush southern coast. The island population is a vibrant mix of ethnicities and races and prides itself on being a true multicultural melting pot. Politically stable (as an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands) it is and has historically been a nexus of three continents: North America, South America, and Europe. On Curaçao one will encounter this rich heritage through such diverse cultural expressions as music, dance, figurative art, architecture, and, of course, film, television, digital media.
